Second Spare Change Drive Scheduled for This Weekend
March 30, 2007
PENSACOLA, Fla. - Start searching in the car and under your couch again! The University of West Florida's Student Athlete Advisory Committee will spearhead the second Make-A-Wish Foundation Spare Change Drive at this weekend's baseball and softball games at the UWF Sports Complex.
During Saturday and Sunday's games, members of SAAC will be walking through the stands and collecting money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
The Division II National SAAC has developed a Make-A-Wish Foundation division-wide sponsored fundraising campaign to raise at least $100,000. Last year, the Division II National SAAC raised $116,950.40.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 and has reached out to more than 144,000 children worldwide. The foundation has enhanced the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions by making their dreams and wishes a reality.
Come out to the UWF Sports Complex this weekend to help West Florida SAAC reach their donation goal of $500.
