PENSACOLA, Fla.  –   On Friday afternoon the No. 1 University of West Florida women’s soccer team will take to the field against No. 9 Rollins College at 4pm ET in the NCAA South Region Championship match on the campus of Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. The Argos will face the Tars for the second time this season after defeating them 4-2 back in September on their home turf.

In their matchup earlier in the season the Tars quickly put the Argos in a 2-0 hole just six minutes into the match. It has been the only time this season the Argos have trailed in a match and also marks the only time this season that an opponent has score more than one goal against the Argonauts defense. The Argos would quickly recover with three unanswered first half goals on their way to the 4-2 victory.

Friday’s match will begin at 4pm ET followed by the No. 7 Carson Newman and No. 18 Columbus State match at 7pm ET. The winner of both matches will square off on Sunday afternoon at 1pm ET for the right to play in the Final Four down in Tampa, Fla. December 3-5.
