PULASKI, Tenn. – Claire Cook, a student assistant and graduate assistant in the University of West Florida sports information office for four total years, started in a new position as Director of Athletic Communications at Martin Methodist College on August 1. Martin Methodist is an NAIA institution in Pulaski, Tenn., and the RedHawks compete in the TranSouth Athletic Conference.
During her time at UWF, Cook worked closely with the Argonauts volleyball, women’s basketball and softball teams and led all sports information and media relations efforts for those teams. “This is an excellent opportunity for Claire,” said UWF Sports Information Director Matt Rowley. “I’m proud of the work she has done here at West Florida, and she is more than ready to take this next step in her career.”
In addition to her routine duties, Cook was instrumental in the department’s hosting efforts in regular season and postseason tournaments.
