UWF to Host All Girls' Sports Day Saturday
260 Girl Scouts to Participate From the Northern Panhandle Girls Scouts of America Council

PENSACOLA, Fla. - West Florida Athletics in conjunction with the Girl Scouts Council of the Florida Panhandle will host the third annual All Girls’ Sports Day this Saturday in the UWF Field House.
UWF female athletes as well as coaches from six sports, soccer, softball, tennis, cross country, basketball and volleyball, will be mentoring Girl Scout troops from across several counties in the northern panhandle region. This will be the fourth time UWF has hosted this event and the third consecutive year. The troops will be working with the coaches and athletes on several different skills and drills at each station of five stations. These drills range from dribbling and passing in basketball to throwing and catching in softball.
This event will be an enriching experience for both athletes and Girls Scouts alike. Check-in for this event will start at 8:45 a.m. in the UWF Field House lobby and activities will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and ending around 12 p.m. To volunteer or join Girl Scouts, contact Pat Madison at the local council office at 1-888-271-8778 or visit www.gscfp.org.
