UWF Baseball and Softball to Host Strikeout Cancer Event on April 3rd
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida baseball and softball teams will host their Strikeout Cancer games on April 3rd. UWF will be accepting donations at the games for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s Strikeout Cancer program.
Both UWF teams will be facing Lambuth. The baseball game is slated for 1 p.m., while softball will play a doubleheader with games at 1 and 3 p.m. UWF will host a free cookout for all fans. In addition, free beach balls and pink and blue sunglasses will be given away. Kids will have the opportunity to run the bases after the games.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has teamed with the American Cancer Society for over 10 years, raising tens of thousands of dollars to support cancer awareness and research.
