UWF Athletics Hall of Fame Silent Auction Information
PENSACOLA, Fla. – As a part of its annual hall of fame weekend, the University of West Florida Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host a silent auction on Friday, Feb. 10 and Saturday, Feb. 11. The bidding will begin at the Argonaut Scholarship Golf Tournament and Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday at Scenic Hills Country Club, and the auction will conclude on Saturday at the end of halftime at the UWF men’s basketball game scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
The auction will include several attractive items, including hotel stays, gift certificates, autographed items and more. Some of the highest ticket items are stays at the Beau Rivage and Isle of Capri casino resorts in Biloxi, Miss. and the Hampton Inn in New Orleans, La. Other items include training packages at Athletes’ Performance at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fla., admission to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Media Day event on April 3, and a signed baseball and framed photo of the 2011 national champion UWF baseball team.
Bidding will also be available on Argonaut sports camps for basketball, soccer, tennis and volleyball, as well as golf lessons from UWF men’s golf head coach Steve Fell and women’s head coach Jennifer Pandolfi and tennis lessons from the UWF tennis coaching staff. Other UWF items will include a rock climbing party and a team-building event at the HLS Facility, as well as two summer memberships at the Aquatic Center. UWF alumni, and household members of UWF alumni, will also be eligible to bid on a one-year membership to the HLS Facility, which includes the fitness center, climbing wall and group fitness classes.
Multiple gift certificates will be available for area restaurants, including but not limited to Atlas Oyster House, Bonefish Grill, Fish House, Hopjacks, Jackson’s Steakhouse, Seville Quarter, Sidelines Sports Bar, Surf Burger and TGI Friday’s. Bidding packages will also include a Pandora bracelet from Bere' Jewelers, gift certificates from Indigeaux Denim Bar and Boutique, and portrait sessions with Nina Fritz Studios and Patsy Brown Photography.
