Argonaut Weekly: Week 21 Recap

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 4 West Florida baseball team swept the Rollins Tars in their opening home series. The softball team lost their first three games on the road at the EC Triton Spring Invitational but bounced back and took from the next two games. The men’s and women’s basketball team continued conference play with the men taking down North Alabama 75-69 and falling to No. 6 Alabama-Huntsville 78-80. The women’s basketball team defeated North Alabama 74-63 and fell to UAH in overtime 88-90. The men’s tennis team defeated No. 4 Auburn Montgomery and No. 23 Florida Southern while the women’s team fell to Auburn Montgomery.

Men’s Basketball

Terrance Beasley (Pensacola, Fla./Tulane (Pensacola HS)recorded a career high of 18 points against North Alabama in his first start of the season to go along with his seven rebounds and one block. He also recorded seven points and three rebounds against Alabama-Huntsville.

Bobby Parker

Bobby Parker (Tallahassee, Fla./Alabama Southern CC (Lawton Chiles HS) helped lead the Argos to a series sweep over Rollins College. The Tallahassee, Fla. native tallied a save in each of the three games in the series and did not allow any runs or hits.
