Scardigli accepts position with Kennesaw State athletic communications

KENNESAW, Ga. – Brandon Scardigli, a graduate assistant in the University of West Florida athletic communications office, has accepted a position at Kennesaw State. Scardigli will begin his work at KSU as assistant director of athletic communications this fall.
During his time at UWF, Scardigli worked closely with the Argonauts volleyball, men’s basketball and softball teams, leading the department’s communications efforts for those teams. He graduated from McNeese State in 2010 and came to UWF in 2011 after a year as a sports information assistant at Newberry College.
“This is a great opportunity for Brandon,” said UWF director of athletic communications Matt Rowley. “I’m proud of the work he has done here at West Florida, and he is definitely ready to take the next step in his career.”
In addition to his routine communications duties at UWF, Scardigli was instrumental in the department’s hosting efforts in postseason tournaments. He assisted the athletic communications staff in hosting Gulf South Conference tournaments in men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball, as well as hosting the NCAA Division II men’s and women’s soccer championships at Ashton Brosnaham Park.
