PENSACOLA, Fla. – University of West Florida men's basketball head coach Bob Stinnett has announced the addition of Sean Gabrus as the team’s new graduate assistant coach. Gabrus will join returning assistant coach Wade Anderson to fill out the coaching staff for the 2012-13 season.

"We are excited about adding Sean Gabrus to our coaching staff,” said Stinnett. "Sean adds experience in video and technology and will help take our program to the next level."

Gabrus began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant for the Argonauts in 2009. Gabrus was responsible for maintaining all equipment, game filming, and multiple other duties to assist the coaching staff. He will continue his coaching career as the new graduate assistant where his duties will include, but are not limited to, running drills in practice, leading the team during pregame warm-ups, assisting in recruiting, editing game film, and developing scouting reports. He also gained coaching experience from summer basketball camps such as the UWF Basketball School and Atlanta Elite Pro Showcase.

Gabrus graduated from UWF in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management while maintaining a 3.34 grade point average. He also held positions as president of both the UWF Sport Management Club and ArgoNuts organization. Gabrus is currently pursuing a master’s in Physical Education.
