Former Argonaut Jamar Moore launches pro career in Germany
Moore heads overseas to join webmoebel Baskets

PADERBORN, Germany – One of the integral parts of the University of West Florida men’s basketball team over the past two seasons, Jamar Moore now holds the distinction of being one of the only Argonauts to ply his craft at the next level.
Based in Paderborn, Germany, the webmoebel Baskets signed Moore to a contract for the 2012-13 season. Moore, who is no stranger to the free-flowing, high-octane style of offense which both the Baskets and the Argonauts employ on a regular basis, was squarely on a crash-course with Gulf South Conference stardom in his final season with the Argonauts. Moore, who played two years at UWF after transferring from Faulkner State Community College in Alabama, collected four GSC Player of the Week awards before being named to the All-GSC first team after leading UWF in terms of scoring, rebounds and assists.
Moore’s extensive list of postseason accolades didn’t just stop with the GSC, though. The Coolidge, Ga., product earned a Daktronics All-South Region first team nod as well as a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-South Region Team – becoming just the second Argonaut to ever accomplish that particular feat. Moore averaged 17.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game for UWF, which concluded its season with a 19-11 mark that included an 8-6 tally in GSC roundball warfare.
Members of the Basketball Bundesliga, the Baskets compete at the second-highest level of professional club basketball in the nation. The Pro A squad begins its 40-game season on August 18, 2012.
