No. 21 UWF in ninth place after first round at Guy Harvey Invitational
Sevillano leads Argos with 1-over 73

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The No. 21 West Florida women’s golf team competed against some of the top teams in Division II on Monday at the first round of the Guy Harvey Invitational, and the Argonauts finished the first round in ninth place. The Argos carded 319 as a team, finishing the first round 31-over par and 29 strokes behind leader and No. 1 ranked Nova Southeastern. (290).
Sophomore Camila Sevillano (Cali, Colombia/La Arboleda) once again was in the lead for the Argos, carding 73 to rank tied for sixth individually. Freshman Elin Olsson (Mantorp, Sweden/Bildningscentrum Facetten) matched her lowest round as an Argonaut, carding 75 to finish the day ranked tied for 12th.
Freshman Luisa Villar Urquiza (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Saint Mary of the Hills School) finished the day 10-over par at 82, and she was followed in the Argonaut lineup by sophomore Aimee Paterson (Sherfield on Loddon, England/Queen Mary's) with an 89. Senior Agustina Cocha (Salta, Argentina/Colegio Santa Maria) carded 91 to round out the UWF scoring five.
Tournament host Nova Southeastern holds a commanding lead heading into Tuesday’s final round, and the Sharks are followed by No. 5 Rollins in second place (301) and No. 4 Barry in third (306). Chanya Angwarawong of Seminole State is the individual leader, shooting a 71 in the first round.
