UWF women's cross country finishes runner-up at the Choctaw Open
Top five finishers record season-best average time on a 5,000-meter course

CLINTON, Miss. – The University of West Florida women’s cross country team finished runner up at the Choctaw Open on Saturday. The meet was hosted by Mississippi College and was held on the Choctaw Trails course. Four UWF women’s cross country runners finished in the top-20, while UWF had its best average time of the season on a 5,000-meter course.
Junior Renea Porsch crossed the finish line first for the Argonauts for her fourth consecutive race this season. Porsch finished 11th (19:17.17) in a field of 166 runners. Sophomore Kelley Bahn finished 14th (19:28.45) and recorded her best time of the season on a 5,000-meter course.
Senior Karyssa Tourelle-Fallon also had her best 5,000-meter race of the season and finished 16th overall (19:42.80). Senior Sabrina Seignemartin finished fourth for UWF and 18th overall (19:50.41). Seignemartin missed her personal-best time by four tenths of a second.
Freshman Jessica Gillard set a personal-best time en route to a 28th-place finish (20:12.28). Gillard was fifth for UWF in her second consecutive 5,000-meter race.
