PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida volleyball team will host to the ninth annual 'Pack it Pink' breast cancer awareness match against Lee University on Saturday, October 31 at 4 p.m. CT in the UWF Field House. Cancer survivors are encouraged to attend a reception in the Argonaut Athletic Club at 3 p.m. prior to the match. The UWF volleyball team and staff encourage all cancer survivors to attend the volleyball match and to be honored for their courage before the match.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and UWF is joining the effort to raise money for breast cancer research while also paying tribute to family members and friends who have been affected by the disease.

Donations will be accepted in lieu of tickets for the match. The first 200 fans to arrive also receive a 'Pack it Pink' T-shirt.

As in years past, a silent auction will run in conjunction with the event and will feature several themed gift baskets, a volleyball signed by the USA Volleyball Olympic team, UWF pink jerseys, gift cards, and much more. The items can be bid on online or in person during the match. All proceeds benefit the Pensacola Breast Cancer Association.

Fans who are unable to attend the match will have the option to bid on items online prior to the start of the match. Items may be secured online by being the first to pledge the full asking price on items if you are unable to attend the match and take part in the live auction. The online auction closes on Friday, October 30 at 10 p.m.
