PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida women's golf team spent time in late February volunteering their time for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. The student-athletes hosted a bingo night and also baked cookies and brownies for the families at the Ronald McDonald House.

"I think this event gave our student-athletes an opportunity to see a part of the community that they had never seen before," head coach Bryan Clarke said. "It's always touching to go into a place like that where people are on hard times and be able to bring them something else from their daily routine. It's also nice for our team to see how fortunate they are to be student-athletes, so it brings things into perspective a little bit."

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida is to be the best Home-Away-From-Home and source of respite and resources for children and families of children suffering a medical crisis.
