2015 All-GSC Men's Tennis Team
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of West Florida men's tennis team was well represented in the 2015 All-Gulf South Conference team this season. Four Argonauts were named to the All-GSC First Team, with sophomore
Alex Peyrot taking home the GSC Player of the Year award and head coach
Derrick Racine taking home the GSC Coach of the Year award.
Alex Peyrot (Castelnaudary, France) earns the GSC Player of the Year honor in his second season at UWF. The sophomore went 15-5 primarily at number one singles and went 21-3 at number two doubles for West Florida this season. Peyrot earned four wins over nationally ranked opponents in singles play. The sophomore was also named as an All-GSC First Team selection for the second consecutive season after earning GSC Freshman of the Year last season. This marks the fourth consecutive season and 11th overall that UWF has earned the GSC Player of the Year award.

Elio Latella (Sydney, Australia) and junior
Warren Kuhn (Johannesburg, South Africa) were also first-team All-GSC honorees after earning the No. 1 spot in the ITA doubles national poll. Latella and Kuhn compiled a 16-4 record at number one doubles for West Florida and earned three wins over nationally ranked opponents.
Latella compiled an 11-7 record at number five singles en route to his second All-GSC selection. Kuhn went 8-7 at number two singles.

Kenny Brasil (Apucarana, Brazil) also was named to the All-GSC First Team after recording a 17-3 record at number three singles and a 21-3 record at number two doubles. Brasil earned five wins against regionally ranked opponents in singles and doubles.
UWF men's tennis head coach
Derrick Racine earns his fourth straight GSC Men's Coach of the Year award and his ninth overall after leading the defending NCAA DII National Champions to its fourth straight conference title this season and an impressive 23-3 record. Racine led his team to an undefeated record in the Gulf South Conference and saw his team extend its winning streak against conference opponents to 41. Racine also notched his 900th career win this season in La Jolla, California on March 10 against UC San Diego.
