PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida men's tennis team's top doubles team of Kenny Brasil and Alex Peyrot won the men's doubles competition at the 2015 USTA/ITA Division II South Region Championships on Sunday.
 
No. 16 Brasil and Peyrot defeated Renato Lombardi and Ahmed Triki (Barry) in the men's doubles semifinals before defeating Alberto Campos and Alex Theiler (Saint Leo) 3-6, 7-6 (6), 12-10 in the men's doubles championship.
 
Brasil and Peyrot will next compete at the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina, on October 15-18.
 
Sophomore Erica Lilja Eriksson (Kristinehamn, Sweden) fell to Valeria Nagovitcina (Palm Beach Atlantic) 6-3, 6-2 in the women's singles consolation round this afternoon.
