CLEVELAND, Tenn. – UWF women's golfer Solange Gomez posted a second-round 80 on Tuesday at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Super Regional at Cleveland Country Club.

The Argonaut freshman who is competing in the NCAAs for the first time in her career is tied for 55th place at 159, 15-over-par.

On Tuesday, she was 3-over after seven holes before birdieing the 332-yard, par 4 eighth. But she followed that with consecutive double bogeys at Nos 9 and 10 before two additional bogeys in the final eight holes moved her eight spots down the leaderboard from Monday.

She will conclude play on Wednesday when she tees off No. 10 at 9:20 a.m. Eastern Time.
