The Santa Rosa Island Triathlon started on Pensacola Beach more than 20 years ago and has been supporting Argonaut student-athletes for years. They have given to support sports and scholarships and recently made a gift that would help student-athletes now and in the future.  They created two new scholarship endowments - one for cross country and one for swimming and diving. This is the first endowment to support both men's and women's cross country and the first endowment for swimming and diving. These gifts will help Argos in perpetuity to both compete for championships and earn a higher education.
 
Why do you give to UWF Athletics? 
UWF has consistently produced outstanding student-athletes as members of the Argos' intercollegiate teams. They reflect well on their university and the surrounding community. We believe our gifts will contribute to UWF's continued success in athletic and academic endeavors.
 
Why did you choose to create an endowment? 
We wanted to benefit UWF student-athletes now and in the future.
 
What impact do you think your donation will have on UWF Student-Athletes? 
Our donations should offer more opportunities to aspiring student-athletes to succeed in school and at their sport.
 
What makes you passionate about UWF Athletics and scholarship support? 
The UWF Athletics standard of excellence has resulted in great success on and off the field of play. We have met many of the UWF student-athletes over the years and they are consistently outstanding citizens who achieve distinction academically and athletically.
