2009 Women's Soccer NCAA Tournament First and Second Round

The University of West Florida is one of two South Region hosts for first two rounds of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament on November 13 and 15.  UWF will host the No. 1, 4, and 5 seeds while Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. will host the No. 2, 3, and 6 seeds on November 12 and 14.  The winners of the two regional sites will meet on Friday, November 20 at a Southeast Region host site to be determined.  The team that survives the third round / quarterfinal weekend will advance to the NCAA Final Four hosted by the University of Tampa on December 3-5.

From Interstate 10, take Exit 13 to Davis Highway. Proceed north on Davis Highway to University Parkway. (University Parkway is the next light after Olive Road). Follow University Parkway across Nine Mile Road and Hillview Road to the traffic light. Turn left at the traffic light, and stop at the Welcome Center on the right to obtain a visitor’s pass.

From Pensacola Airport
From the Airport, turn right onto 12th Avenue. Proceed on 12th Avenue across Langley to 9th Avenue. Turn right onto 9th Avenue to Creighton Road. Turn left onto Creighton Road to Davis Highway. Turn right onto Davis Highway. Proceed north on Davis Highway to University Parkway. (University Parkway is the next light after Olive Road). From Downtown Pensacola
Take I-110 to I-10 east (toward Tallahassee). Remain in the outside lane and exit immediately onto Exit 13 at Davis Highway. Turn right (north) on Davis Highway. TICKETS: Admission to the tournament held at UWF will be as follows:
• Adults: $7
• Students With ID / Senior Citizens: $3
• Children Ages 2-12: $1
• All-Session Pass: $10

Children under the age of 2 will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

UWF students, faculty, and staff will not be admitted free with their Nautilus Card as this is an NCAA event.  The Athletic Department has purchased 100 student tickets that will be available on a first come first serve basis starting at noon on Friday at the Commons Service Desk.  Each student will be able to receive up to four student tickets per UWF ID.  To be admitted with a student ticket, UWF students must present their Nautilus card.

MEDIA: Members of the media who plan on covering the games hosted by UWF must send credential requests to Sports Information Director Matt Rowley at mrowley@uwf.edu or (850) 474-2140.  Please include your name, the name of the media outlet you represent, and the type of credential you are requesting (photo, print, radio, etc.).
