Pep Band

Do you miss playing in your high school band? Are you majoring in something other than music, but want to play in an organized ensemble? If so, the UWF Athletic Band needs you!

In 2010 UWF President Judy Bense authorized the formation of the university’s first official pep band. The band consists of approximately 22 performers (40, with alternate players).  Student members receive a stipend ($$) for each event they support.  The pep band supports UWF athletic events and other university functions.

To reserve an audition time, contact Dr. Spaniola at jspaniola@uwf.edu or 850-857-6296. Student conductor auditions are open to all UWF students with instrumental conducting experience. Each 15-minute audition will consist of conducting a predetermined piece, rehearsal of an excerpt and a pep band performance scenario simulation.
