2012 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Super Regional Two

The University of West Florida is proud to host the 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Super Regional Two on May 6-8 at Stonebrook Golf Club in Pace, Fla. Stonebrook has hosted numerous college golf tournaments, including NCAA regional championships in 2004 and 2006 and the Division II women’s golf national championships in 2007. Not only is Stonebrook one of the premier courses in the Florida panhandle, but it is also a hometown course for PGA stars Bubba Watson and Boo Weekley.
Each of the four 54-hole super regionals will include nine qualifying teams, as well as four individuals not on qualifying teams. The three low teams from each super regional, as well as the low three individuals not on the teams advancing, will compete at the NCAA Division II Championships in Louisville, Ky. on May 16-19. Super Region Two includes teams from the Conference Carolinas, Gulf South Conference, Peach Belt Conference, South Atlantic Conference and Sunshine State Conference.
The NCAA has been awarding Division II national championships in women’s golf since 2000, and teams from the Sunshine State Conference have won the national championship each year. Rollins (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008) leads the pack with five national championships, followed closely by Florida Southern (2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007) with four and Nova Southeastern (2009, 2010 and 2011) with three.
