2008-2009: Redshirt during the fall cross country season ... In the spring, earned the spring season Best Performance award, as he improved his 5k performance by over a minute and turned in a best of 16:09 at the Auburn Invitational track meet ... Raced to a 35:07 in the 10,000 meters race at the FSU Relays ... Also completed 5000 meter runs in at the South Alabama meet and at the Southern Mississippi meet.
High School: Turned in a 17:19 for the states at Dade City ... Began running cross country as a junior ... High school co-captain in his senior year as his team earned a first-ever berth in the Florida State Finals in Dade City ... Participated on the track team, where he ran the lead leg on the 4 x 800 relay team that set a school record ... Ran the mile and two mile, earning personal bests of 4:47 and 10:17... Took part in more than twenty public race events with distances ranging from 5k to the half marathon ... Placed first in his age group in the Martin County Parks Half Marathon and second overall ... Also had a first place finish at the Kiwanis Second Annual 5k ... First place at the Oppenheimer 10k Classic by the Sea and 45th out of 7,698 runners in the ING Miami Half Marathon with a time of 1:22:18.
