Hall of Fame Questionnaire
1. What was your most memorable moment in UWF athletics?
Two moments: 1. A tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss. where it was 29 degrees with 30 mph wind and rain. I was thinking “What am I doing here?” 2. Graduating with a 3.5 GPA after the thrill and excitement from a college golf career.
2. Being a former student-athlete, how has it helped you in your life after college?
It has helped tremendously as I developed the discipline to concentrate and focus on multiple priorities, both college academics and athletics. Golf has been wonderful in making relationships and friends in the business world.
3. Are you still involved with your sport? If so, in what capacity?
I play golf often. It has helped tremendously in business to build contacts and friends. I have a 0 handicap at Pensacola Country Club.
4. Please list any other information that you would like to share.
My education at UWF was exceptional. The joy and privilege of playing college golf has provided great memories from the fellowship with the team and the competition in matches and tournaments. As an athlete, you are always striving to improve. This same inner competitiveness and desire has been a tremendous help in the business world. With so many business leaders enjoying the world of golf, I have truly been blessed with extra opportunities and recognition thanks to a good golf game!
