Hailing from Duluth, Minn., Charles Hurley came to West Florida to join the athletic communications staff in 2012.

Hurley joined the Argonaut family after a one-year stint as a sports information intern at the University of Minnesota Duluth.  He was the primary media contact for the Bulldogs’ men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball teams.

Prior to his appointment at Duluth, he served as a sports information intern at Newberry College, an NCAA Division II school in Newberry, S.C. from July 2010 until May 2011. While residing in the Palmetto State, Hurley was responsible for the media coverage of volleyball, tennis and the Wolves’ nationally-touted wrestling program.

A graduate of Michigan Technological University, Hurley worked as a student assistant in the sports information office during his four-year period in Houghton.
