2018 GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll

2018 (SOPHOMORE): Pitched in 8 games with 1 start, totaling 11 innings for the year... Struck out 15 batters and posted an 0-2 record... Threw 3.0 shutout innings against Auburn-Montgomery, striking out 4 batters and allowing just 1 hit... Threw a shutout inning against Christian Brothers on 3/11 with a strikeout and just one hit allowed.

GSC Freshman of the Week (3/13)

2017 (FRESHMAN): Posted a team-best 4-0 record with a 3.42 ERA over 15 appearances and six starts… Finished 11^th in the Gulf South Conference in ERA… Ranked second in the GSC with 6.99 hits allowed per nine innings, also good for 42^nd best in Division II… Finished fourth in the GSC with a 1.19 WHIP… Contributed a team-best .213 opponent batting average… Recorded a team-best .188 opponent batting average against hitters with runners on…  Strung together 19 consecutive scoreless innings from 2/4 to 3/19, giving him a 1.02 ERA through his first seven appearances of the season… Team went 6-0 in his starts on the year… Allowed just three of 12 inherited runners to score… Did not allow a run as a reliever against GSC teams for the entire season (23.1 innings pitched total)… Posted three innings of hitless relief against North Alabama in GSC Tournament… Earned GSC Freshman of the Week honors after throwing eight innings of shutout relief with only two hits allowed against Alabama Huntsville on 3/11… Eight-inning relief performance is tied for the longest relief outing in program history… Posted five consecutive scoreless appearances from 2/15 to 3/11, only allowing five hits over that 15-inning span… Tossed 5.1 innings of shutout, three-hit relief against No. 5 Delta State on 4/14… Owned a 1.30 ERA and .158 opponent batting average as a reliever in 27.2 innings pitched…  Posted a 4-0 record at home with a 2.89 ERA and .201 opponent batting average.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letter-winner at nearby Tate HS... Recorded a 2.09 career ERA with a 7-4 record and seven saves over 73.2 innings pitched... Recorded 65 strikeouts over career... Hit .333 with a home run and seven RBI in 22 games as a senior... Also played football at Tate HS, averaging 6.3 tackles per game as a sophomore.
