Dumond's Second Goal Clinches 3-2 Overtime Victory for UWF
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Junior defender Alex Dumond (Delray Beach, Fla./Jefferson) scored twice to lead the West Florida men’s soccer team to a 3-2 overtime victory over Tennessee Wesleyan at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Saturday. The Argos led 2-0 at halftime, and after the Bulldogs came back to tie the game and send it into overtime, Dumond knocked in his second goal of the game in the 102nd minute to send UWF home with the win. Newcomers Lead West Florida to 3-0 Win in Season Opener
MOBILE, Ala. – Junior Matthew Aldred (Eastbourne, England/Loughborough) and sophomore Andre Verardi (Porto Alegre, Brazil/Embry-Riddle) accounted for all the offense in West Florida’s 3-0 win at Spring Hill in the 2010 men’s soccer season opener on Thursday. Both players scored in their UWF debuts, as Verardi broke the game open with a goal in the 31st minute and Aldred added goals in the 33rd and 52nd minutes. [+]
