UWF Men's Cross Country Places Fifth at George Kyte Invitational

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Racing at nearly 6800 feet elevation, the West Florida men's cross country team turned in solid performances to start the 2010 season. Despite trouble breathing, one near blackout and a pre-race fall by junior Jared Black, the Argos placed fifth best of 10 scoring schools. UWF tallied 130 points in a meet won by nationally ranked Division I powerhouse Northern Arizona at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Ariz. Christopher Hough (Panama City) led the way for UWF, finishing 26th, while Eddie Pagan (Stuart) was right behind in 29th place. [+]

UWF Men's Cross Country to Open 2010 Season in Arizona

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF men’s cross country team is hoping last year’s strong finish will catapult them into a successful 2010 season. The Argonauts outraced two higher ranked teams in each of the final two meets of the season to finish as the fifth-ranked team in the NCAA South Regional. The men return five of the top eight runners from last year and are ranked sixth in the south region in the USTFCCCA Preseason Division II Cross Country Rankings. [+]
