Paulius Jurkenas helped lead West Florida to its first two NCAA Division II men’s tennis national championships in 2004 and 2005, and he was also a key player on three Gulf South Conference championship teams. He became only the seventh student-athlete in GSC men’s tennis history to earn four consecutive all-conference first team selections. During his senior season, he was an ITA All-America selection in both singles and doubles as well as the South Region Senior Player of the Year. As a freshman he was the ITA South Region Rookie Player of the Year.

Jurkenas, a native of Siauliai, Lithuania, finished his career with 82 wins in singles and 86 in doubles. He was a GSC All-Academic Team selection twice, and he earned a spot on the GSC “Top Ten” after his senior season as one of the league’s most accomplished student-athletes across all sports. After finishing his career, he was a first team selection to the GSC All-Decade Team.
