Esthefanny Barreras Named USC All-American

Barreras is the Seventh Different Argo to be Named to the USC All-America First Team in School History

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UWF Goalkeeper Esthefanny Barreras was named to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches' NCAA Division II Women's All-America First Team on Wednesday afternoon. This is Barreras' fourth Postseason Award this year. She was the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year, named to the GSC First Team All-GSC, and was named to the D2CCA All-South Region First Team.

Barreras started and played in all 21 games this season for the Argonauts. In those 21 games, she recorded 56 Total Saves, and only allowed 6 goals.
 
She finished her junior season as the Gulf South Conference leader in Total Shutouts (11), Goals Against Average (.306), and Save Percentage (.903). Barreras ranks third in all of Division II in Save Percentage and fourth in Goals Against Average.

West Florida earned the United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award earlier this month by posting a team grade point average of 3.09 for the 2017-2018 academic year.
