Pensacola, Fla. – The University of West Florida is proud to announce that its student-athletes have once again demonstrated excellence both on the field and in the classroom during the Fall 2024 semester. UWF's student-athletes collectively achieved a department GPA of 3.28.
Of the almost 400 Argonaut student-athletes, 277 earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, a new department record. In addition, 71 earned a 4.0, which is also a new department record. The department also set department records with 69 student-athletes earning their way onto the President's List (3.90-4.0) and 94 student-athletes joining the Dean's List (3.50-3.89). These milestones highlight UWF's athletes' dedication to their academic pursuits, even while balancing rigorous training and competitive schedules.
Leading the way in the classroom was the Women's Soccer team who achieved the highest team with a GPA of 3.70, which included 2 College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans.
The department had 15 student-athletes graduate this semester, including several with honors.
"We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment our student-athletes continue to demonstrate in the classroom," said Phillip Ebert, Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Development. "Their academic success is a testament to their discipline and the support of our dedicated faculty, staff, and coaches."
