JACKSON, Tenn. - The UWF women's basketball team suffered a 95-35 loss to Union in the Gulf South Conference opener for both teams on Saturday.
UWF (2-3, 0-1 GSC) shot just 22 percent in the game and fell behind 16-2 six minutes into the contest and was unable to recover.
Rachel McCree made three 3-pointers and finished with 10 points to lead the Argonauts.
Aline Fevrier had seven points and a blocked shot.
Union (4-2, 1-0) shot 57 percent in the contest and was 16-of-28 fro outside. Leah Cauble was the top scorer in the game with 24 points on 8-of-11 3-pointers.
The Argonauts will travel to Memphis to face Christian Brothers (1-3, 0-1) on Monday evening. Tip-off at Canale Arens will be at 5:00 p.m.
