Argonauts Drop Regular Season Finale to Tulane

UWF’s Next Meet will be at the NSISC Championships

FINAL RESULTS

NEW ORLEANS, La. – West Florida lost to division one opponent, Tulane University, in their last swim meet of the regular season on Saturday by a final score of 227-72. The Argos won both of the diving events at the meet.
 
Sophomore Jesstina Farrell finished in first place in both the 1 MTR Diving Event and the 3 MTR Diving Event. She posted a finals score of 259.05 in the 1 MTR and a finals score of 256.73 in the 3 MTR event. Diver Mariah Constantakos placed fourth in the 3 MTR Diving Event with a score of 233.03.

Ester Rizzetto came in second place in both the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Freestyle. Rizzetto posted a time of 24.11 in the 50 Yard Freestyle, only .15 seconds behind the first place finisher. She also posted a time of 52.39 in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
 
The Argonauts will turn their attention to the NSISC Championships for their next set of competition. The NSISC Championships will take place from February 20th-23rd in Cleveland, Mississippi at the DSU Aquatic Center. West Florida finished in second place at the NSISC Championships last year with a total of 1,065.5 points.
