PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida will take on Ouachita Baptist Saturday morning at 10am CT in the UWF Aquatic Center. UWF owns a (2-0) all-time record against the Ouachita Baptist Tigers, defeating them 112-64 in 2015 and 103-42 in 2017.
The Tigers have currently lost four straight and possess a (4-4) overall record. Ouachita Baptist Freshman Lilia Clark has come on strong as of late for the Tigers winning the women's 100 yard-freestyle event with a time of 53.53 at their last meet against Texas Christian University.
The Argos are coming off impressive showings at both the Panther Invitational and the Delta Diving Invitational in November, where both squads finished in first place.
At the Panther Invitational the UWF Swim team finished in first place with a final team score of 1014.5 points. North Florida came in second place with 860 pts, Florida Southern 649.5 pts, Florida Tech 522 pts, and Rollins College rounded out the field with 382 total points. Argo Freshman
Ester Rizzetto continued her dominance this season winning three individual events at the Invitational, including a 50.18 in the 100 yard-freestyle event.
The UWF Dive team placed first at the Delta Diving Invitational with 93 total points. Delta State finished with 83 pts, University of Indy 46 pts, and Maryville 12 pts.
Jesstina Farrell finished in first place in the 1M event with a Final Score of 423.30, and came in second place in the 3M event posting a Final score of 451.35.
Carson Bronnenberg competed in a separate exhibition 3M diving event, and received a qualifying score of 433.27.
