BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UWF swimming and diving team continued their hot start to the 2019-2020 season with three victories more victories over Rhodes College, Millsaps College and Birmingham-Southern at the Birmingham Crossplex on Saturday afternoon. The Argos are now 8-0 to start the season.
West Florida won nine individual events and both relays at the meet on Saturday. The Argonauts had three swimmers finish first in multiple events.
Ester Rizzetto came in first place in the 100 Free (51.92), 200 Free (1:52.82) and the 50 Free (23.88),
Yael Danieli placed first in the 200 Back (2:09.47) and the 400 IM (4:38.88), and
Morgan Ayers finished first in both the 100 Breast (1:06.99) and the 200 Breast (2:28.28).
UWF placed in the top three spots in both the 1M and the 3M events. In the 1M event
Kelsey DeJesus finished in first with a score of 262.80,
Emilie Hunter placed second with 257.93 and
Daniela Reyes came in third with the score 225.00. In the 3M event DeJesus placed first with 277.73, Hunter finished second again with a score of 260.63 and Reyes came in third with 259.27.
The UWF Swim and Dive Team will be back in action on November 9
th in Tallahassee, Florida to take on North Florida, Florida Southern and Florida State.
