DAY 2 RESULTS

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – West Florida swam in three different events on Thursday afternoon, and earned two All-America honorable mentions in day two of the NCAA Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium. After two nights of action, the Argonauts stand in 24th place with 16 points.
UWF started the day with the 200 Free Relay prelims ofÂ

Ester Rizzetto andÂ
Brooke Ferrara finishing 16th in the preliminary session, with a time of 1:35.00. After advancing to the finals later in the afternoon, the team put up a time of 1:35.05 in the finals resulting in a 16
th place overall finish. The 16
th place finish earned the team an All-America honorable mention.
Senior
Pia Hulley swam in her first freestyle race in her career at UWF today, when asked how it felt she replied "It was an awesome opportunity to get to swim in the 200 Free Relay, and it was fun to be able to get up there and compete with the freestyle girls. We got All-America honorable mention, so that was pretty amazing as well."
Freshman
Ester Rizzetto competed in the 100 Butterfly, placing 12
th with a prelim time of 54.95. After advancing to the B finals Rizzetto posted a finals time of 55.08, placing her 14
th overall in the event. Her 14
th place finish gave her an All-America honorable mention in the 100 Butterfly.
The 400 Medley Relay team ofÂ
Manon Milczynski, Hulley,
Tierney andÂ
Rizzetto finished the relay with a time of 3:47.47, giving them a 19
th place finish. That time is the fifth best performance in program history in the 400 Medley Relay for UWF.
"I'm really happy with what we're doing" head coach
Phil Kraus said. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow. We have two swims tomorrow with Ester performing in the 500 Freestyle and Pia participating in the 100 Backstroke. Hopefully we can keep adding points to the board."
Prelims on Friday will begin at 10 a.m. ET, and finals are scheduled for a 6 p.m. ET start. The events scheduled to take place on Friday are the 500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Fly, and the 800 Free Relay.
