Patrick Ryan is a proud UWF alumn and former employee. Patrick worked as an academic advisor and had a large impact on the student-athletes academic lives. He continues to cheer the Argos on and we cannot thank him enough for the continued support over these years. Thank you, Patrick!

Why do you give to UWF Athletics?
There are a lot of reasons! As an alum from the university, I am drawn to give back to an institution that has given me so much. I give to athletics, specifically, because I once worked in the UWF athletic department and I believe in the coaches, department, and student-athletes they recruit. Seeing the coaches and administrators I worked with continue to have success makes it easy to continue to support these programs and people.Â
Why do you continue to give annually?
UWF has had a lasting and meaningful impact on my life. The university and community had a significant hand in improving my life, and for that, I will likely give for life.Â
What impact do you think your annual donations have on the UWF Athletic Department?
I don't know that my donations in particular have that much of an impact. However, I hope that collectively with the help of other athletic donors that our giving improves the student-athlete experience, scholarship opportunities, and the university, community fan experience at large. Â
What makes you passionate about UWF Athletics?
It seems like semester to semester, year to year, UWF student-athletes are making the grade and competing for conference, regional, and national championships. The student-athletes are passionate about success in and out of the classroom and that makes me passionate to try in my small way to help them accomplish their goals! Â
Anything else you'd like to add?
I would like to take this last part to thank some of the faculty and staff that are still working at the university that may read this newsletter. I would like to thank Dr. Barbara Larson, John Markowitz, and Jim Jipson from the Art Department for investing in me and teaching not what to think, but how to think. I would also like to thank
Meghan Barter and Lauren Loeffler for teaching me how to be a professional.Â
