GAME 1 | GAME 2

PENSACOLA, Fla. – A perfect game from Montana Young headlined an outstanding day of UWF Softball, as the Argonauts swept a doubleheader against Shorter with a pair of run-rule victories on Saturday afternoon.

Kelsey Sweatt threw a shutout in Game 1, with a two-hitter in six innings of work. Young followed in Game 2 with UWF's first perfect game since 2015, when Becca Taylor and Rebecca Hein combined for five perfect innings against Miles on March 25.

Young improved to 2-0 on the year, and she has thrown a combined 10 innings with 11 strikeouts and no walks in her last two starts. The sophomore from Slidell, Louisiana needed just 61 pitches to shutdown the Hawks in the win.

Not to be overlooked, the UWF offense was outstanding. The lineup hit .417 on the day and slugged .625, scoring 18 runs. Angela Agurkis went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three walks, Teala Howard had a team-high five hits and four runs scored, while stealing four bases as well.
