PENSACOLA, Fla - The UWF Women's Swimming team is traveling to Tallahassee to swim this Friday in the Triple Dual meet. The Argos will face Florida State, North Florida, and Florida Southern for the weekend. With upcoming high competition, the Argos are looking forward to an exciting meet. About UWF
The Argos have won their first three meets of the season and have been ranked #8 in the CSCAA. The Argos are traveling with a strong squad. Senior veterans including Brooke Dorr and Aimee Patterson have been key elements in creating a great dynamic for the team. The Argos group runs deep with newcomers Riley MacVane and others who have already made a great impact. MacVane individually won two of her races in her first meet for UWF and is looking to continue her feats in Tallahassee.Â
On the boards, five Argos have already qualified for the NCAA Diving Qualifier in March of 2024. Olivia Nelson, Jade Fontenelle. Adriana Mieses, Catherine Cal, and Tayler Graham have all qualified. West Florida gave a great impression in their last match in Moultrie.Â

About Florida State
The Division 1 Seminoles are coached by Neal Studd and John Proctor. The Seminoles have come in first place in their matches this season, defeating TCU, Georgia Tech, and Liberty in the meet. The Argos fell to Florida State last season 73-224. The Seminoles are led by Brooke Arnold and Gabrianna Banks after their impressive feats in their last meet.Â

About Florida Southern
The Mocs are led by Head Coach Andy Robbins and Assistant Coach Maddie Samples. In their opening weekend, the Mocs defeated Florida Tech 178-84 back in early October. Florida Southern is led by Jazzy Hoffman, Alizee Pelletier, and Teagan Michalek. The Argos defeated Florida Southern last year 93-22

About North Florida
In their last matchup, the Argos defeated UNF 211-82. Freshman Kayla Daley has made an impact for the Ospreys as she won three first place finishes in their win over Georgia Southern. The Ospreys defeated GSU 149-113. The Ospreys are led by Head Coach Ian Coffey and are assisted by Lindsey McKnight.

The competition on Friday will have 16 events, including the 50, 500, 1000 free, and 200 IM in addition to the 100s and 200s of each stroke. The 200 medley relay will kick off the competition, and the 200 free relay will wrap it out. The 1-meter and 3-meter events will run concurrently with swimming.
