LIVINGSTON, Ala. - UWF men's tennis (6-4, 3-1 GSC) picked up a 5-2 win at West Alabama (2-5, 1-1 GSC) on Sunday at Vaughan Tennis Complex to wrap up its last stretch of true road games this season with a 2-0 mark.

The Argos dropped the doubles point with a pair of narrow setbacks.
Albin Ekenros and
Joaquin Estevez topped Vilislav Bonev and Caden Goldammer 6-1 at No. 3, but
Denilso Martinez and
Diego Duran fell 6-4 to Lucas Hammond and Jacob Tapia, while
Sebastian Rondon and
Bernardo Costa dropped a narrow decision via tiebreaker at No. 2 to Wilson Igbinovia and Eita Ishikawa 7-6 (7-5).Â

At No. 1 singles, it was a matchup of nationally ranked players between Rondon at No. 46 and Hammond at No. 65 that Rondon claimed 6-4, 6-3 to tie the match.
Sebastian Sotelo took down Igbinovia 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 and Ekenros defeated Ishikawa 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3. At No. 5, Bonev scored the other point for his team with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win, but Duran scratched it back with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 win over Nuutti Jokinen at No. 4.
Tomas Leston finished off UWA with a win at No. 6 via the super tiebreaker round over Tapia 5-7, 6-0, 1-0 (10-5).  Â

The Argos return home for its next two matches, starting with a March 16 match against Xavier (La.).Â
