COLUMBUS, Ga. - No. 15 UWF women's tennis (9-4, 5-1 GSC) won all three doubles matches and never let up as it defeated Shorter (1-9, 0-7 GSC) Thursday afternoon 7-0 in a makeup league contest at Walden Tennis Center on the campus of Columbus State.

Luiza Daud and
Nathalia Mossambani started the onslaught with a 6-1 win at the No. 2 position over Amelie Fryer and Laura Martin.
Manuela Dejean and
Carlota Verdu won at No. 1 6-2 over Sophie Rellano and Erin Coleman to stake the Argos to a 1-0 lead.
Zoe Yasan, in her first playing time of the season, teamed up with
Giuliana Sacco to finish out doubles with a 6-2 win over Sydney Wright and Sharick Guiza Hernandez.

In singles, no matchup went to a third frame.
Aline Midori Da Silva and
Jenna Svatos each won 12 straight points for two-set shutout wins.
Guadalupe Martinez and
Catharina Schoch both had 6-1, 6-0 wins. Dejean won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 over Martin before Verdu put on the finishing touches at the top of the lineup with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Rellano.Â

In winning this match, UWF has now won all 12 of their all-time matchups with the Hawks and has a 3-1 mark over the past week. The Argos stay in Columbus for their next two matches as they face a pair of Peach Belt Conference foes, starting tomorrow at 1 pm ET/12 pm CT against the event hosts, No. 13 Columbus State.Â
