THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The UWF Women's Swimming team dominated at their dual meet against Thomas (Ga.) and Ave Maria. The Argos won with 150 points. Ave Maria finished in second with 82, and Thomas (Ga.) in third with 27.
Freshman
Haylee Hite made a big impact in today's meet. She placed first in the 200 Fly (2:11.39) and 200 Back (2:15.36). She was also a part of both relay teams that placed first in the 400 Medley and 200 Free. Hite was the lead-off person in both relays.
Livia Rodrigues competed for the second time this weekend and had another impressive race. She finished first in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:08.80.
Taylor Messerschmitt came in first in the 100 Fly with a time of 59.52. She also finished close behind Hite in the 200 Fly (2:15.83).
In the 1650 Free,
Caroline Dimig and
Ellie Dimig came in first and second.
Caroline Dimig with a time of 18:41.05 and
Ellie Dimig with a time of 18:43.86.
The Argos also took first and second in the 100 Back, with
Ruby Nussbaum (1:01.19) and
Caroline Dimig (1:05.32).
The Argos are back at home on Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Montevallo and Texas Rio Grande Valley.
