PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Argos opened their season at home with a pair of wins. UWF defeated Loyola (La.) and Thomas (Ga.)
The Argos beat Loyola (La.) 160-50, Thomas (Ga.) 159-57, and East Central Community College 159-17.
Transfer,
Agata Naskret, had an impressive first meet as an Argo. She placed first in the 50 Back, 50 Free, 100 Back, and anchored her relay team in the 200 Free to get them first as well. Naskret proves to be a strong asset to the team.
Sofia Kendzior also had a strong first meet. She placed first in the 200 Free with a time of 1:53.88. She then took first in the 100 Free with a time of 52.71. Kendzior was also in the 200 Free Relay team that took first.
Freshman
Livia Rodrigues finished with three first-place events today. Her 200 Medley team finished in first with an impressive time of 1:23.77. Rodrigues then placed first in the 100 Butterfly, with a 57.57. Then finished the meet with first in the 50 Butterfly.
The Argos won a total of 12 events during Friday's meet.
UWF Diving will travel to the Moultrie Diving Invite in Moultrie, Ga., to compete next weekend.
