UWF Swim Beats Loyola (La.) and William Carey (Miss.)

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The UWF women's swim team travelled to New Orleans Saturday afternoon, where they beat Loyola (La.) and William Carey (Miss.) in one of their last meets of the season. The Argos beat Loyola (La.) 149-50 and beat William Carey (Miss.) 129-86.
 
In the 1000 Free, Melissa Blaine, who had started the season injured, finished first with a time of 10:44.32. She also finished first in the 200 Fly (2:12.53).
 
Junior Riley MacVane had two first-place finishes as well. She finished the 200 Free with a time of 1:57.67 and the 100 Free with a time of 54.73. She was also the anchor in the 200 Medley Relay, which finished in first.
 
Shannah Dillman and Hollace Stokes also had multiple first-place finishes. Dillman took first in the 200 Back (2:11.02) and 200 IM (2:12.55). Stokes came in first in the 50 Free (24.87) and 200 Breast (2:27.79).
 
The Argos are back home next weekend for their senior day meet, where they will swim against Tulane on Saturday.
