PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Argos put up a hard-fought battle against Tulane University on Saturday afternoon, ultimately losing, 90-152, during their final regular season meet before conference next month.
UWF was able to keep up with Tulane and had multiple close finishes.
Agata Naskret finished in second in the 50 Free (24.38), only 11-hundreths of a second behind the first-place finisher. Naskret won the 200 Back with a time of 2:03.73.
Riley MacVane also had a first-place finish. She came in first in the 500 Free, with a time of 5:04.86. She finished five seconds before the second-place finisher.
Alena Rozova came in a close first in the 200 Breast. She finished with a time of 2:21.01. The second-place finisher was 54 milliseconds behind.
In the diving well,
Olivia Nelson pulled out a second-place finish in the 1 Meter dive event. She finished with a score of 237.98.
The Argos swim and dive team looks forward to the NSISC Conference Championship meet next month. UWF will host the conference championship meet from February 17-21.
