PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida women's tennis team dropped a tightly contested 4-3 decision to Louisiana on Sunday afternoon at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
The match came down to the final singles courts as the Argonauts battled throughout, but Louisiana secured four singles victories to edge UWF.
The Argos responded in singles competition, winning the first three of the six matches, but it wasn't enough as the Ragin' Cajuns etched out UWF to secure the 4-3 victory.
Kylie Kochis, Alberte Jorgensen, and
Sandra Recuenco all earned singles points on courts six, five, and four, respectively.
The Argos will now travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for the ITA Women's National Team Indoors Championship. UWF will open the tournament against No. 3 North Georgia on Friday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
