PENSACOLA, Fla. — The University of West Florida swept Auburn University at Montgomery 7-0 on Wednesday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. The Argonauts secured victories in all six singles matches and claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

West Fla. secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Guadalupe Martinez and Aline Midori Da Silva delivered a decisive 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles against Mercedes Garcia Cid and Allison Blanco. Kylie Kochis and Sophie Smith followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles over Sofia Neri and Ana Clara Campigotto. The No. 1 doubles match with Carlota Verdu and Sandra Recuenco remained unfinished at 4-5.

In singles play, the Argonauts extended their lead with straight-set victories across all courts. Kochis set the tone at No. 6 singles, defeating Ana Clara Campigotto 7-5, 6-1. Alberte Jorgensen added another point with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 result at No. 5 singles over Nagisa Yonezawa. Verdu clinched the match for West Fla. at No. 1 singles, overcoming Melissa Yakup Pour 6-4, 7-5.

The momentum continued as Recuenco defeated Sofia Neri 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, and Martinez battled through three sets to triumph 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 4 singles against Allison Blanco. Da Silva rounded out the sweep with a three-set victory at No. 3 singles, prevailing over Sofia Neri 6-0, 6-7(5), 7-5. The final dual score was 7-0 in favor of West Fla.
