Biography
2016-17: Recorded personal best in the 50 Free, 50 Back and 100 Back this year... Swam a 25.59 in the 50 Free at the NSISC Championships, a 30.18 in the 50 Back in quad meet against Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State and Florida Southern, and a 1:02.51 in the 100 Back at the NSISC Championships.
2015-16: Helped UWF to an eighth-place finish in the 400 Free Relay in season-opening meet at home.
2014-15: Ranked in the top 10 on the team in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.82), 200-yard backstroke (2:19.22) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.85).
2013-14: Ended season ranked fourth all-time for the program in the 200 butterfly (2:18.76) and fifth all-time for the program in the 1650 freestyle (18:50.02).
High School: Four-year varsity athlete… qualified for FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships 5k in Canada in the summer of 2012 and represented Bolivia… qualified again for the FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships in Spain in 2013… named her school’s Top Rookie and Athlete of the Month... played left wing and sprinter on the water polo team.
Personal: Daughter of Mayn and Vladimir Aponte… has one sibling, Adrienne Aponte… majoring in pre-med... was a part of the Hands on Broward Yearbook Club… enjoys surfing and kayaking.
