University of West Florida Athletics

The University of West Florida cheer program is a student organization. The primary focus of the cheer program will be on academics prior to cheering to find a balance between becoming an excellent student as well as a cheerleader.

The West Florida cheerleaders support the athletic teams by generating crowd excitement and school spirit. Squad members hold great responsibility because each member is an ambassador to the University and represents the athletic department, school, city, and state.

The squad cheers at most West Florida athletic events including men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and football. The squad may also compete at NCA College Nationals in Daytona, Fla. 

West Florida cheerleaders are also present at many campus and community events.
