GSC Player of the Week (2/28, 4/3)

2023-24 (So.): Had an outstanding sophomore season, putting up a 17-4 overall record in singles, including an 11-match winning streak from 2/18 to 3/21, and a perfect 8-0 record in conference play … At positions 1-3 and ranked as high as No. 13 in the ITA Singles Rankings … Defeated 14th-regionally-ranked singles player in Dom Spicer of No. 8 Wayne State (Mich.) (2/18), national No. 16 Phil Exner of No. 15 Ouachita Baptist (3/20), No. 26 Luca Mack of No. 2 Valdosta State (3/30), regional No. 13 Joao Guariente of No. 28 Auburn Montgomery (4/3) in three sets, as well as No. 65 Lucas Hammond of West Alabama (3/10) in two sets … Earned 10 singles wins against ranked teams … Also went 12-8 in doubles overall and 6-2 in GSC play at 1 and 2 with partners Sebastian Sotelo, Denilso Martinez, Bernardo Costa and Diego Duran … Won first seven matches with Duran, going from Argos’ upset of VSU (3/30) to claim regular season GSC title, a 2-0 day for Rondon, to GSC semifinals match vs. Mississippi College (4/28).

GSC Freshman of the Week (3/8, 3/29)

2022-23 (Fr.): Played 18 singles matches on the season...Posted a 15-3 overall record and 8-1 conference record in singles from the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 position to earn All-GSC Second Team honors...Went 1-1 against nationally ranked opponents...In doubles, the freshman and Bernardo Costa went 6-5 as the No. 2 pair.

Prep: Ranked 11th in the Head Recruiting Lists...Had a junior ranking of 1434 in the ITF...Named a five-star recruit in high school.

Personal: Son of Andreas and Angelica Rondon ... Majoring in Finance ... Wants to play professional tennis ... Hobbies include cars and playing soccer.
