University of West Florida

Dom Taylor serves as the Digital Media Senior Coordinator and is the primary media contact for the Argonaut Cross Country and Softball teams at the University of West Florida.
 
In his role, he oversees broadcast operations while leading multimedia production and digital storytelling efforts for UWF Athletics. Taylor plays a central role in coordinating live event coverage, managing broadcast execution, and producing video content that enhances the visibility of Argonaut programs across digital platforms.
 
Taylor’s background is rooted in high-level broadcast production and athletics communications. Prior to joining UWF, he worked with Crimson Tide Productions at The University of Alabama, contributing to ESPN and SEC Network broadcasts. His experience includes overseeing broadcast operations, coordinating live productions, and supporting on-air talent to ensure seamless event coverage.
 
During his time at Alabama, Taylor also played a key role with Alabama Adapted Athletics, where he oversaw broadcast operations in addition to serving as play-by-play and color commentator for the wheelchair basketball program. He was on the call for the program’s seventh national championship victory, further showcasing his ability to blend storytelling with technical production leadership.
 
In addition to his collegiate broadcast experience, Taylor has worked with the Sacramento Kings and contributed to coverage of The World Games, broadening his exposure to professional and international sporting events. His experience across multiple levels of competition reflects his versatility and commitment to high-quality sports media production.
 
A native of Sacramento, California, Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts in News Media and his Master of Arts in Journalism from The University of Alabama, where he developed his expertise in broadcast production and sports media before joining the Argonauts staff.
